Video: Reading and Q&A With Poet Jericho Brown

By jretter | February 22, 2015

On Feb. 11, poet Jericho Brown read selections from his award-winning debut collection, Please, and his latest release, The New Testament, to a standing-room-only crowd in the Castle Rose Room. After the readings, Brown took part in a Q&A session with Dr. Kalenda Eaton and answered questions from the audience.

During the reading, Shani Carrington ’18Lynn Diorio ’17Kirby Sibiski ’18, and Laura Squicciarini ’17 read poetry they worked on with Brown during a master class he conducted earlier in the day.

Before the class, Brown sat down with The Bulletin to recite “Labor” and talk about the relationship between poetry and truth, reading in the library after school, and how he comes up with his best writing.
