Colin Ireland, who directed Arcadia's programs in Ireland with The College of Global Studies for nearly 20 years, published several articles last year on seventh-century Irish studies.

In Traditio, an international journal dedicated to the study of ancient and medieval history, thought, and religion, Ireland wrote "Where Was King Aldfrith of Northumbria Educated? An Exploration of Seventh-Century Insular Learning."

Ireland also published reviews in Peritia, a journal of medieval Irish studies, of Wilfrid: Abbot, Bishop, Saint: Papers From the 1300th Anniversary Conference, edited by N. J. Higham, and Becoming a Poet in Anglo-Saxon England by Emily V. Thornbury.

In addition, Ireland presented on "The Intellectual Life of the Irish Midlands in the Seventh Century" at the Lismullen Institute Heritage Series in Ireland.
