Throughout February, Arcadia will honor Black History Month through events celebrating culture, promoting social justice, and introducing up-and-coming figures. This page will be updated as events are announced.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Commons Great Room, Key Arts Productions returns to campus to perform “Three Soulful Tenors,” a multimedia presentation of cultural music genres such as R&B, neo-soul, and the blues. Free and open to the public.

Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Civility in Action Spring 2016 Leadership Discussion Series will host “Theater of the Oppressed,” a participatory theater facilitated by Dr. Foram Bhukhanwala, assistant professor in the School of Education. The workshops, designed for students interested in learning how to combat oppression in their daily lives, will run  Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m., through March 22. Jeremiah White III, an international soccer player turned entrepreneur, visits the Commons Great Room on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m. for a discussion on his experience in technology, marketing, and strategic planning. Free and open to the public.
