On March 21, Arcadia University’s Biology Department inducted 26 students in the Arcadia chapter of the national Biology honor society Beta Beta Beta. Inductees for Beta Beta Beta must have completed a minimum of six required courses in the Biology major and have achieved a 3.5 GPA in their Biology courses.
This was the first group of Arcadia students to be inducted into the honor society. The ceremony not only inducted students into the society, but the installation of the Arcadia chapter. Inductions will be held annually for students meeting requirements. Since last summer, the Biology faculty have worked with Beta Beta Beta for application approval, including a review department curriculum, campus visit, and interviews with faculty and students.
