Arcadia University honored its inaugural 40 Under 40 at a special reception on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Lowes Philadelphia Hotel. More than 135 Arcadia alumni, families, and friends were in attendance to celebrate some of the University’s most promising, accomplished, entrepreneurial, creative, and inspiring young alumni.

Ellen August Templeton ’78, ’85M, president of the Arcadia University Alumni Association, welcomed honorees and guests to the event. While congratulating her fellow Knights on their success, Templeton expressed pride and admiration for the honorees who have made an impact with their achievements and contributions. “Every moment of triumph, every deed of mentorship, and every act of advocacy, reflects the essence of the Arcadian spirit,” she stated.

Commending honorees for their remarkable accomplishments in a variety of professions and academic disciplines, Interim President Hank Brown noted that the each of the 40 Under 40’s individual success is “indicative of the strength of this University community and an example of the greatness that is the Arcadia experience.”

Honorees were selected from nominations submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations. All nominations were reviewed through a selection process established by a committee of alumni and staff. The inaugural group includes authors, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, mentors, therapists, and health care professionals who have achieved success in their fields while making a difference in their local communities and around the world.
