On Thursday, April 12, students in the University Seminar “The Artist in the Community” will present “The Art of the Syllabus” from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Thrall Gallery. The exhibition is an accumulation of works created by both the class and members of the organizations they visited throughout the semester.
Guided by Adjunct Professor of Education Linda Ruth Paskell ’81, ’96MEd, the students worked with Parkway Northwest High School for Peace and Justice, St. Raymond’s House, and A Step Up Academy (ASUA) to combine art and community service. The exhibit will feature projects made by both Arcadia students and community members, including animal portraits with Aboriginal designs, floral designed traffic cones, and group paintings.
This event is open to the public. For more information, contact Paskell at PaskellL@arcadia.edu.
