Assistant Professor of Education Dr. Marc Brasof and Special Education graduate Kate Peterson ‘16 published their research on student discipline in urban schools on May 9 in Psychology in the School. Titled “Creating procedural justice and legitimate authority within school discipline systems through Youth Court,” the article investigates the fairness and effectiveness of Youth Court. Their findings indicate this peer adjudication program may serve as a legitimate alternative to traditional punitive procedures.
