Arcadia’s Computer Science and Mathematics department hosted the 19th International Conference on Computability and Complexity in Analysis (CCA) online from May 23–25, 2022.

The local organizing committee consisted of Arcadia professors Xizhong ZhengVitaly FordEmily Marshall, and Weihong Ni.

More than 100 registered participants attended from around the globe. Eight prominent researchers in the field were invited to give one-hour keynotes on their work. Another 11 authors or author pairs were selected to present after submitting abstracts for consideration.

Between sessions, participants had several opportunities to socialize and network over Wonder.me.

“I really enjoyed attending the online conference CCA 2022, locally organized by Professor Xizhong Zheng and his team,” said Vasco Brattka, professor of theoretical computer science and mathematical logic at the University of Bundeswehr München, Germany, and one of the conference’s steering committee members. “Everything did run exceptionally well, and it was a pleasure to cooperate with the entire team!”

The CCA conference series began in 1995 and occurs annually, providing useful information for researchers working in the field of computability and complexity in analysis – two central areas of research in mathematical logic and theoretical computer science.
