Arcadia Welcomes 10 New Transfer Students from Jiangsu University for Summer Program

Arcadia University welcomed 10 new international students from Jiangsu University in China as part of a continued partnership between the two institutions. The students, who are transfer students and will complete their degrees at Arcadia, are participating in a summer bridge program designed to support their transition and build community on campus.
Their arrival was marked by a warm orientation session, where students were introduced to life at Arcadia and in the surrounding Philadelphia area. Throughout the summer, the students explored the city’s cultural landmarks, sampled iconic local foods like soft pretzels and water ice, and engaged in activities to learn more about American academic and social life. They have been supported by their peers, student leaders Chayhok Chhor ‘27 and Fangrong Wesley Wang ‘26 who have led the summer activities with enthusiasm and care, helping to foster a sense of community and belonging as the students begin their journey at Arcadia.
One highlight was a special luncheon hosted by Provost Alex Otieno, who personally greeted the students and expressed enthusiasm for the growing collaboration with Jiangsu University.
The program reflects Arcadia’s continued commitment to internationalization and academic exchange, with plans to expand future collaborative opportunities between the two universities.
