Arcadia Welcomes Tagoe as new Director of Dining Services
Metz Culinary Management, Arcadia’s dining services provider, has hired Nii Tagoe as the new director of dining services for the Glenside campus. Tagoe comes to Arcadia after a stint at Harcum College.

Tagoe will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the dining program run smoothly and efficiently. He’s looking forward to continuing the high standard set by those who served in the role prior, while also innovating to keep students coming back for more.
“I will continue to make sure that we run our brand standards on campus, like having our rotating stations, our grill items, and our deli items,” he said. “But we will also have an interactive approach, with pop-up style events such as meet the managers and meet the chefs, and more theme events around things like sporting events.”
According to Tagoe, he takes his cues and inspiration from all over, so don’t be surprised if you see something being served in The Dining Hall or The Chat that is popular on Instagram or TikTok.
“I am very into social media, so we will have more trendy items that are popular right now in certain locations around campus,” he said.
In addition to Harcum College, Tagoe has worked in various positions at Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Morgan State University, and Delaware State University. This includes training chefs, managers, food service workers, and dishwashers; planning events; and helping to establish point-of-sale systems.
While his experience and qualifications brought him to Arcadia, Tagoe believes it’s the campus community that will keep him here.
“Being here, you can see how much people care,” he said. “It’s a beautiful campus where you make an impact and people appreciate it. I hope to bring smiles and an interactive approach to dining. When people come to Arcadia, I want to give them a dining experience that they can tell others about.”
Tagoe combines his love for travel and sports through the endeavor of visiting every National Football League stadium. He has visited 12 so far, saying that Lambeau Field in Green Bay is his favorite as he is a huge Packers fan. He cannot flip off the food switch completely either, as the graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., also works on the side as a caterer and a consultant.
