A research paper written by Arcadia University professor of the Chemistry and Physics Department, Dr. Emanuele Curotto, and alumna, Gabriella Ravin ’21, has been accepted for publication in the Chemical Physics Letters journal.

Titled “A Potential Energy Surface of Spectroscopic Accuracy for a Lithium Ion – Hydrogen Clusters,” the authors develop and use artificial intelligence methods combined with quantum computation tools to predict the shape and thermal stability of hydrogen molecules adsorbed on a simple electrolyte model. The research findings will impact the search for materials to be used  for hydrogen storage.

The Chemical Physics Letters journal is published by Elsevier Research Elements along with many other journals focused on data, methods, software, and hardware in respective areas of study. Their goal is to provide a space for high-quality, peer-reviewed articles to be accessible and findable in order to further research in various avenues of science.

Dr. Curotto and Ravin’s paper will be published in Volume 832 of Chemical Physics Letters which will be released on December 16.
