Dr. Morra Co-publishes on Bushmeat Refrigeration and Reduction

Dr. Wayne Morra, professor in the School of Global Business, co-published “Refrigeration and the Reduction of the Takeoff Rate of Bushmeat” in SAGE Open alongside Andrew J. Buck of Temple University, Tavor Tchai of Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, Israel, and Uriel Spiegel of Bar-Ilan University, Israel.

Through his work with the Bioko Biodiversity Protection Program, Dr. Morra has researched endangered animals and bushmeat hunting on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. In this recent article, Dr. Morra studies the role refrigeration in bushmeat markets plays in reducing harvest rates and preventing species extirpation.
