Why did you choose your particular program at Arcadia?
After I graduated from my undergrad program, I had some time to reflect on what I wanted the goals of my career to be. I knew I wanted that goal to align with peace and advocacy, but I wasn’t sure how to achieve that. I was lucky enough that one of my mentors was a graduate of the IPCR Master’s program at Arcadia, and after talking to her about what my goals are and subsequently the program, I knew the IPCR Master’s program lined up with my goals and could be the next step in my education and professional development that I needed.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
During my time at Arcadia, I hope to not only gain new perspectives and deepen my understanding of peace and conflict but also further develop my professional skills. I have already met some amazing people and can see different opportunities opening up, so I can’t wait to see how the rest of my time in the IPCR Master’s program unfolds.
What do you do when you’re not in class?
When not on campus, I work a part-time job at a small local shop. Otherwise, I absolutely love to be out in nature. Whether it’s hiking, doing some photography, hanging out with friends, gardening, or even just going to the park to read or walk the dog, I will always find an excuse to get outside.
