I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Catholic University of America.
Why did you choose Arcadia and/or your particular graduate program?
Arcadia’s MSFS program offered the opportunity to explore several forensic disciplines while also conducting relevant forensic research. The program also had a unique partnership with a lab that features some of the best and newest instrumentation.
What have you gained during your time here?
During my time here, I have gained valuable experience that I will use for the rest of my life. Alongside the content from my classes, I’ve developed stronger problem-solving and critical thinking skills and have become more confident in my abilities in the lab.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date?
Being able to present my research project, “Investigating the Dynamics of Trace DNA in a Burglary Scenario,” at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences this year
What is a challenge you’ve had to overcome to get to this point?
There wasn’t necessarily one specific challenge, but I really had to work on staying consistent, motivated, and willing to put in extra hours when things became challenging or overwhelming throughout these two years.
What do you do when you’re not in class?
In my free time, I coach two softball teams. I also love watching Philly sports, listening to music, and participating in trivia.
What are some things you’re hoping to do after graduating?
After graduation, I hope to find a job at a crime lab so that I can apply everything I’ve learned and worked for to real casework.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself or your Arcadia experience?
I’m grateful for the chance to be a part of this program and for the people I’ve met over the last two years.
