What graduate program are you in at Arcadia? Doctor of Education/Educational Leadership

Undergrad/previous degree details? Temple University Bachelor’s Degree 2004; Arcadia University, Master of Education 2009; Cabrini University Master’s of Education Leadership 2014.

Why did you choose Arcadia and/or your particular grad program?

I chose Arcadia because my previous experiences, getting my Master’s Degree in 2009, prepared me to be successful as a teacher. When I spoke to two of my mentors about enrolling in a Doctoral Program, they told me to join them at Arcadia, and I jumped at the opportunity.

What have you gained during your time here?

The doctoral program has been a transformative experience. It has grown me personally and professionally. Through the coursework and research, I have developed a more critical lens when analyzing situations and am proficient at academic writing. Lastly, the cohort model has been particularly valuable, as it allowed me to build lifelong relationships with my peers and faculty at Arcadia while navigating this journey together.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?

Being a parent and nurturing my children, with my wife Lisa, is my proudest accomplishment. Watching my children grow up has taught me more than anything I have ever done in my life.

What do you do when you’re not in class?

Watching Sports, specifically basketball and football, being my children’s biggest fan, along with my wife, at their sporting events, and exercising, which I plan to jump fully back in after graduation.

Post-grad plans: To continue to lead Andrew Hamilton Middle School and hopefully become an adjunct professor to help build the next generation of educators serving K-12 schools.
