What do you like to do in your free time? I love to read, draw, do creative writing, crochet, and listen to music.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date? My proudest accomplishment was when I found out I received the Marilyn Riggs Meshach Memorial Award for excellence in early childhood education. I will be receiving this award at Honors Convocation this spring and am so happy that the School of Education has selected me to receive it.
Post-grad plans: I am planning to apply for a certification program in Montessori Education for students ages 6-12. I then plan on going into education as a full-time teacher.
At this year’s Honors Convocation, Landis received the Marilyn Riggs Meshach Memorial Award for excellence by a senior in Early Childhood Education. “Bryn is a dynamic and conscientious student who made strong connections within the School of Education while working as a student assistant,” said the faculty member who nominated her. “She assisted us with tasks such as creating documents/presentations, organizational tasks, helping plan/run events for the School of Education, and providing great baked goods. It is evident from having Bryn as a student or observing her as a student teacher that she is a great role model for young scholars.”
