Knight to Know: Emily Mayerberg ’26

Major: Psychology
What have you been involved in at Arcadia outside of your classes?
I was a teacher’s assistant for Professor Levy’s Experimental Research Lab, and I am currently running a research experiment with Dr. Robbins. I have been inducted into Psi Chi, and I have won the Provost Prize, President’s Prize, and the Robert L. Swaim Award at the Honors Convocation. I also traveled to Hawaii for a Global Field Study.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date?
My proudest accomplishment is achieving a 4.0 GPA every semester throughout my undergraduate career.
What is a challenge you’ve had to overcome to get to this point?
I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders that I have had to manage while finishing college and starting my career.
What has been your favorite memory at Arcadia?
My favorite memories at Arcadia are tied between going to drag bingo events with my friends and rescuing an abandoned kitten on campus with Dr. Duque.
What are some things you’re hoping to do after graduating?
I was admitted to Simmons University for a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. I will continue my current work as a Registered Behavior Technician working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder while earning my master’s degree.
