Grad Knight to Know: Payal Patel ’23MMS, MPH
When Payal Patel ’23MMS, MPH was applying for physician assistant schools, Arcadia University was the only dual degree program for which she interviewed.
“I want to be the best PA and practitioner that I can be for my patients and my community and a lot of that comes from being knowledgeable about public health needs and resources in the community,” she said. “I think that having a master’s dual degree in MPH/PA is what is going to make me the most knowledgeable PA that I can be for my patients.”
Urology patients in Lancaster, Pa., will benefit from Patel’s synergistic education. With graduation now behind her, she will start a job there.
So how did Patel get to this point? A native of Chicago, Ill., she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University in 2019. She says she is looking forward to all the new adventures that life as an independent physician assistant will bring.
