Professor Heather Harris Attends Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists Meeting

Assistant Professor of Forensic Science Heather Harris attended the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists (NEAFS) meeting on October 20-24 in Lancaster, Pa. Harris is the certification chairperson for NEAFS as well as the NEAFS representative to the American Board of Criminalistics (ABC) Board of Directors.

She gave a presentation to the Criminalistics Scientific Session on how to become ABC certified and had the opportunity to attend a business luncheon to provide certification updates to the membership.

Additionally, Harris was able to attend a workshop on gasoline sufficiency analysis as well as presentations in the scientific sessions. This included presentations from some Arcadia MSFS graduates. She also attended the educator’s forum, which covered activity level evaluations this year.

Finally, Harris represented Arcadia University at the University Fair, where high school and college students visited for information about the program.
