Calling All Students: School of Global Business to Launch SPROUT, Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program with TiE Philadelphia
From the sciences, to the arts, and every major in between, Arcadia University students with a creative idea or a passion project that they want to turn into a business are encouraged to apply for SPROUT, the School of Global Business’s new Entrepreneur in Residence program. The program is a collaboration with the Philadelphia chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE).
“You don’t need to be a business major to be an entrepreneur,” Dr. Raghu Kurthakoti, associate professor of Marketing and a lead on the project, said. “Whether you are studying to be an artist, teacher, or a writer, SPROUT helps you bridge the gap between your passion and real-world success.”
Arcadia’s unique partnership with TiE Philadelphia, will serve as a catalyst for entrepreneurship by connecting students, faculty, and community entrepreneurs to develop scalable business ventures with sustainable economic impact.
Under the tutelage of Kurthakoti, Prof. Jennifer Fritch, assistant professor of Marketing, and Dr. Meg Nolan, assistant professor of Global Business, SPROUT will provide growth opportunities to students in the areas of coaching, real access to potential investors and capital sources, and preparation and launch of a scalable venture.
TiE, which boasts the world’s largest community of entrepreneurs across sixteen countries, was founded in Silicon Valley in 1992. TiE fosters entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation.
Interested parties can apply here. A maximum of five students or student groups may be selected. The deadline is February 6, 2026.
