Welcome back, Arcadia community! The All-Modes Ready format enabled us to shift seamlessly to a fully online semester for the health and safety of our community. As classes have begun, our faculty and staff are engaging students in an online learning environment for the Fall 2020.

Arcadia University’s academic services are available online to support students, similar to the experiences they have in-person.

All-Modes Brand Identity

As we approach the fall semester, all units and departments are communicating plans and important information across the Arcadia University community. To keep content consistent and within the University brand, we have created an All-Modes Ready Identity Guide for use on any Arcadia publications and presentations.

Faculty and Staff

The Office of Human Resources provided an update on Sept. 11 for faculty and staff on workforce planning measures.

Arcadia released an update on Aug. 24 for faculty and staff on remote work, visiting campus, University equipment, and other pertinent information.

Academic Update

Our faculty and staff have worked all summer on All-Modes Ready preparation in case we needed to seamlessly transition to a fully online delivery. After the urgency of shifting courses in the spring, Arcadia invested in innovative course redesigns, operational shifts, and new technology applications to create a high-quality student experience in whatever modalities are available to us, including fully online. 

Arcadia Abroad

The London Center offers an enticing array of courses taught by our Arcadia in London faculty. The Fall 2020 program combines online and in-person opportunities in two six-week teaching blocks. In addition to online courses, Arcadia students may enhance their credentials and gain valuable professional experience through our Intern Philly program this fall. All Athletics facilities remain closed until further notice. When it is safe to resume on-campus operations, Athletics will inform the University community on its plans for reopening. An update regarding specific campus offices, hours, and operations will be shared with the University community shortly.

International Students

The Office of International Programs has maintained communications with all new international students who are residing in their home countries as they begin their Arcadia academic programs this semester. We are advising these undergraduate and graduate students about their visa applications, the opening of embassies/consulates, regulatory updates and AU student engagement activities. OIP continues to work closely with academic/administrative units and academic advisers who support this global population. Our iPALs are excited to engage new international students, whether abroad or in the U.S.  

Landman Library

Most resources and services remain fully accessible online, including one-on-one research consultationsinterlibrary loan, and all online databases and resourcesLibrary faculty are fully accessible online to provide research and instructional support. Beginning on Aug. 31, Landman Library will begin a new “curbside pickup” service, Books2Go. Community members can place requests for books through the online library catalog or interlibrary loan form and will receive notifications when items are ready for contactless pickup at Mail and Print Services. To support a fully online modality, students will need a device (laptop or tablet) with a camera and microphone that can run applications such as Zoom and platforms such as Canvas (for in-class sessions, you will need earbuds with a built-in microphone). Students will also need regular access to a high-speed internet connection. If you don’t have the required technology or internet access, students can contact the Help Desk at to discuss options.
