Return to Campus

CORONAVIRUS: University Updates and Information

COVID-19 has caused unprecedented disruptions around our region, the nation, and the world. As our county enters the Green Phase of Gov. Wolf's plan to reopen Pennsylvania, we are working hard to prepare to reopen our campus for Fall 2020.

Through this crisis, we will emerge as leaders in higher education, serving as an engine for prosperity for our local and global communities, and as an accelerant to help the world heal.

Planning for Fall Return to Campus: All-Modes Ready Flexibility

Our faculty and staff have organized and worked throughout the summer to prepare for welcoming students and community members back to campus this Fall 2020. Our plan includes being All-Modes Ready for our students, staff, and faculty to combine in-person, remote, and online learning and student experiences. Our flexible approach works with public health recommendations, and respects the choice of those who want to minimize social contact, and deliver outstanding learning experiences no matter the modality.

COVID-19 Update

Summer 2020

The following can be applied to the Summer 2020 term (or through the date listed):

Summer 2020 will also be a fully online academic term. Summer research programs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Summer housing on campus or in Oak Summit Apartments is not being offered this year. Any student with questions about summer housing should contact housing@arcadia.edu.

Campus events planned for the summer will be moved online wherever possible, and possibly suspended, postponed, or canceled. Contact Conference Services if you had any events planned on campus for the summer for revised planning.

Arcadia faculty and staff will continue their unit plans of working remotely through the end of July. Department supervisors, Deans, Chairs of Schools, and unit managers will connect with employees to discuss a phased re-opening of campus, including the implementation of the University’s All-Modes Ready approach and health, safety, and sanitization process.

Arcadia University Education Abroad Program Updates

The University’s International Travel Policy outlines a protocol for consideration of all University-sponsored travel for all students, faculty, and staff. The decision to suspend any course or travel is based on travel health notices identified by the U.S. State Department, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the University’s travel assistance provider – International SOS.
