Students have called Cynthia Nichols a "career architect", because she is dedicated to helping people build their career plans brick-by-brick. She is the Associate Director of Career Education at Arcadia University, who also has 10 years of experience in Human Resources (HR) and Training & Development. Her HR background has given her a valuable foundation for educating Arcadia’s students and alumni how to effectively navigate the career planning process, from the employers’ perspective.
In addition, Cynthia is also an adjunct professor. She developed a 2-credit Strategic Career Planning course. Teaching these 7-week classes, twice a semester offers her an opportunity to help student unlock their professional potential. Both courses support all levels of undergraduate students and provide them with a roadmap for defining and accomplishing their professional goals.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding the many bike trails around Philly with her husband. Cynthia is also passionate about interior design, especially beautiful mid-century modern and Zen spaces. She practices yoga and meditation, which help her achieve serenity for herself and calmness when supporting students and alumni.
