Cynthia Planita is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Arcadia University. She currently teaches Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting I and II. She is the faculty advisor for the Society for the Advancement of Business Administration (SABA) and Delta Mu Delta, the International Honor Society in Business. In an effort to bring the business world to the classroom, she has organized presentations with speakers from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Johnson & Johnson, and QVC.
Cynthia earned her B.S. in Accounting from La Salle University, and her M.S. in Taxation from Philadelphia University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She was previously an Instructor of Accounting at La Salle University, in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to her teaching career, Cynthia spent over a decade in the business community, working for Ernst & Young, LLP, Jones Apparel Group, and Johnson & Johnson.
