About Me

Marty Eastlack, PT, PhD,  is an Assistant Professor and serves as Director of Entry-Level Physical Therapy Admissions. She teaches mainly histology and muscle physiology, but also teaches some pathophysiology, pharmacology and imaging. Her research investigates morphological characteristics of muscle in the context of a battery of physical performance measures that include muscle performance testing, upright balance, and gait speed. She is also collaborating with colleagues to describe the quality of movement in persons with Parkinson Disease. Dr. Eastlack has peer-reviewed publications and numerous presentations with students at national professional meetings. She is a past recipient of federal and foundation funding. She currently serves as the Program Chair for the Section on Research of the APTA.
