VLOG – What is Arcadia Reading: It’s More Than Just a Book
“Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another’s skin, another’s voice, another’s soul.” –Joyce Carol Oates
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.” –George R.R. Martin
Many people read for different reasons, most of which are for entertainment. However, reading allows others to escape their reality, whether good or bad. Reading provides an outlet for us to escape the problems of this world. It also allows us to enlarge our view of the world and grants us the opportunity to step outside of the lives we are used to. That said, I love to read. Reading allows me to teleport into a different dimension and place in time. Reading is one of the many forms of literacy we take in, so I thought it would be fascinating to see what Arcadia is reading and why.
