Dr. Brian Eckenrode is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University, where he serves as the Residential DPT Program Director and oversees the Arcadia University Running Injury Clinic. He received his Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Arcadia University, transitional DPT from Temple University, and PhD in Health Sciences from Rutgers University. Dr. Eckenrode has over 20 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, and has been a board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist since 2005. Dr. Eckenrode has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles, written book chapters, and presented at national and international physical therapy and orthopaedic professional meetings. His research is focused on understanding the effects of physical therapy interventions on pain processing in lower extremity overuse conditions, and the contribution of running biomechanics on running-related injuries.
