To help you take full advantage of your overseas experience, our resident staff in New Zealand, led by Director Jane Gunn-Lewis and Assistant Director Kate Casey, plans cultural events and excursions that you are invited to join. These excursions promise to broaden your experience in New Zealand and take you to new and fascinating places. Most of the costs for these events and trips are covered by Arcadia—you may only need to cover the expense of a few meals and certain adventure activities not covered by Arcadia (e.g. bungy jumping!).
Our New Zealand staff will discuss this in detail—including dates and how to reserve your place—during orientation. All Arcadia excursions attach great importance to the notions of safety, experiential learning and cultural understanding.
Excursions and events vary by semester and by group. Past activities have included:
