Study Abroad at Oxford University

  • Founded in the 10th century, Oxford is the oldest English-speaking University in the world.

  • Comprised of 39 distinctive, self-managing colleges.

  • Your studies will be driven by your intellectual interests and will require a significant amount of self-motivation and curiosity.

Program

Oxford provides a singular academic experience for the competitive student. You will be able to study in the sciences, social sciences or arts at one of four colleges: St. Anne’sSt. Edmund Hall, Hertford College, or Lady Margaret Hall. Each college has its own unique character which has been shaped by centuries of history and tradition. While the range of courses offered is broad, you will be expected to focus on a couple of subjects in depth.

Please note that we cannot guarantee a placement in any specific Oxford college.Your application will be reviewed and you will be accepted to the Oxford college that is most prepared to accommodate your desired area of study at the time of application. We ask that you remain flexible in your understanding of the Oxford system and open to placement in any of the four colleges. Please direct any questions or concerns to Katharine Reinhart, Program Manager, at reinhark@arcadia.edu.

Each College offers its own library, teaching staff, housing accommodations and student societies, as well as social, and sport and recreation facilities. You will be fully integrated into the academic and social life of the College you attend, and will be housed in a single study-bedroom in a College-operated residence that includes shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Contact a Past ParticipantYou’ll find that Oxford students pursue their social activities  with the same, or perhaps, more diligence than they do their studies. For such a serious academic community, there’s a wonderful exuberance in the city of Oxford.
