Program

The University is known for a progressive and liberal approach to academic subjects. Students enroll in courses in one of twelve colleges; seven are devoted to the arts and social sciences and five to the sciences and engineering. These colleges are the focus of your intellectual life while at the University.

Of particular interest are the classes for pre-law and pre-med students. You may even take a prep course for the MCAT in the spring. There are several pre-sessions available prior to the fall semester. Pre-sessions consist of concentrated courses which enable you to focus intensively on topics such as English literature and history, environmental studies, archaeology, medicinal chemistry, and British politics, while acclimating yourself to both campus and British life.
