Whether you are looking to:
- immerse yourself in the Italian language (Full Immersion Program at the University of Perugia's Università per Stranieri)
- learn Italian while pursuing courses in art, political science, history and culture taught in English (Umbra Institute's General Studies program – including honors courses for qualified students)
- carry out independent research under the guidance and supervision of expert faculty (Independent Research program )

Your studies will come to life through various field-study excursions to the main cities and cultural centers in the Umbria region, to neighboring regions such as Tuscany, and throughout Italy. Activities and excursions designed to enhance your understanding of the Italian language and culture are planned throughout the semester and academic year.
Credits and Grades
Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit.
- Fall and spring semester: 14-17 credits
- Academic year: 30 credits
Admission Requirements
GPA Requirements: 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form before your application will be considered.
