Program
Whether you want to gain financial experience in a commodities brokerage; work in an auction house or at an advertising agency; explore non-profit management or assist a British MP in the Houses of Parliament, our internships consist of much more than mere observation or filing paperwork. In addition to your 3-day-a-week internship placement you will also write a substantial paper or complete an independent project. The project should demonstrate resourcefulness, independent thought, an understanding of the issues confronting your particular industry or profession and a mature work ethic.
While our internship program is not for the timid and will require good time management skills, the chance to work and study in London provides one of the best study abroad experiences available.
Credits
Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit.
- Fall semester: 14-16 credits.
- Spring semester: 14-16 credits.
Admission Requirements
GPA Requirements: 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. A 3.5 GPA is required for finance and banking placements.
You must be in good academic standing and not on disciplinary probation. You need to submit a complete application including a transcript, letter of recommendation, and an advisor's form before your application will be considered.
All internship applicants should submit the following documents in addition to the general application: a current résumé, a field work request and a personal reference. If you are pursuing an internship in the fields of fine art, architecture, graphic design, journalism, or interior design, you will need submit a non-returnable portfolio of your work.
