Arcadia program participants will spend the first month of the program in an intensive language course administered by the University of Granada's Centro de Lenguas Modernas (CLM). Students will be placed according to their proficiency level.

The Centro de Lenguas Modernas is housed in the lovely 16th century palace of Santa Cruz and is renowned for its Estudios Hispanicos (Hispanic Studies) and Cursos de Lengua y Cultura Española (Spanish Language and Culture) programs.

Besides being one of Spain's premier institutions for international students, the CLM serves as the University's center for the teaching of foreign languages to its own Spanish students, giving international students ample opportunity to interact with Spaniards through various programmed social activities or language exchanges or while enjoying a coffee in the Center's busy café.
