Why did you choose your particular program at Arcadia?
Location was first and foremost important to me as I entered this rapidly changing new era of post-undergrad life. Staying close to family while being able to visit campus from time to time is the perfect balance for me right now, and I love the low-residency hybrid of online and on-campus experiences. Not to mention, a dual degree program was exactly what I was looking for, and it’s a dream I get to pursue what I’ve wanted to do since I was a teenager.
What do you hope to accomplish during your time here?
I’m so excited to start the publication process in the coming months/years. I’ve studied creative writing for years, but now I will finally have the confidence, connections, and portfolio to get my writing out into the world!
What do you do when you’re not in class?
I just graduated in May 2025 from Allegheny College, so finding a job on such a quick turnaround was a blessing. I’m now working as a substitute teacher in Manheim Township School District with ESS. When I’m not writing, I’m singing, and I studied voice/opera in my undergrad, so karaoke nights are a favorite of mine. I’m an avid reader, Dungeons & Dragons player, and general movie fanatic.
Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
I have loved the early stages of my program so far, and I am most excited to go to Scotland next summer with my MFA cohort for our residency. I’ve made so many new friends!
