What graduate program are you in at Arcadia?
Master of Science in Forensic Science (MSFS)
What are your undergraduate and/or previous degree details?
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Drexel University. I also completed a minor in Criminal Justice.
Why did you choose Arcadia and/or your particular graduate program?
I was drawn to Arcadia’s forensic science program because it provided hands-on opportunities and professional experiences that would prepare me for a career in the field.
What have you gained during your time here?
Through my program, I had the opportunity to attend the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Annual Conference in New Orleans. While there, I explored the French Quarter with friends, experienced Mardi Gras festivities, and even tried an alligator sandwich.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date?
At Drexel, my group’s senior research proposal won Proposal of the Year. Later, while working full-time in the pharmaceutical industry, my lab team earned Team of the Year honors.
What is a challenge you’ve had to overcome to get to this point?
My entire freshman year of college was virtual because of COVID-19, which made adjusting to college life and building connections more difficult.
What do you do when you’re not in class?
I participated in the 2025 intramural softball and held graduate assistantship positions within the Forensic Science department. For fun, I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and darts. I also like watching sports, movies, and TV shows, especially Marvel and horror films.
What are some things you’re hoping to do after graduating?
I recently accepted a position as a Forensic DNA Technician with Bode Technology, the largest private employer of forensic biologists in the country. I’m excited to move to Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, to begin this next chapter.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself or your Arcadia experience?
Outside of academics and work, I’ve enjoyed building friendships and making memories through conferences, campus involvement, and shared experiences with classmates.
