Biography
Dr. Yanxia Jia is a Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science & Math at Arcadia University. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from Harbin Engineering University, China, a Master's degree in Computer Science from North China Institute of Computing Technology, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Jia's research interests include artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, large language models (LLMs), data science and computer science education. At Arcadia University, she has taught a range of computer science courses and mentored undergraduate research projects in data science, machine learning and AI (including LLMs), mobile and digital health, social media analysis, Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, dancing and walking in nature.
