Clerkship and Internship Program
The Arcadia University Office of the General Counsel (OGC) offers a clerkship and internship program open to Arcadia undergraduate students and law students from the Philadelphia region. The program provides hands-on experience in higher education law and compliance while earning academic credit.
Participants gain exposure to legal practice and policy work in a university setting, developing skills in legal research and writing. Interns assist with projects such as drafting memoranda, policy and research summaries, conducting research, supporting compliance tracking, and attending meetings with OGC staff and university partners. Arcadia undergraduates also gain experience in administrative support and complete an end-of-semester reflection.
The program runs part-time during the academic year or during the summer, is unpaid, and requires students to arrange academic credit through their home institution. Positions are competitive, and applicants are encouraged to submit a cover letter and résumé to ogc-staff@arcadia.edu, demonstrating interest in higher education law and alignment with Arcadia’s values.
Full internship application details can be found in the Arcadia University Office of the General Counsel Clerkship/Internship Program.
