Arcadia's Spanish Programs

The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish prepares students to communicate in Spanish through experience in Spanish classes as well as in a Spanish-speaking environment in a study abroad experience.

What to Expect

  • Placement based on knowledge, performance and leveled testing
  • Completion of no less than 50 percent of the required courses at and beyond the 200 level for the Bachelor of Arts degree
  • Opportunity for intensive, accelerated, or minor Spanish degree study
  • Semester-abroad study coordinated with The College of Global Studies
  • Elective courses in: Spanish for medical careers, social services, and business; Latin American literature; Hispanic experience in Philadelphia; and, the Spanish Civil War, among others

Career Paths

Spanish majors or minors secure themselves within finance, business, social service and healthcare, communications, government, philanthropic, education, hospitality, and immigration and translation careers.
