
Orientation is required for all students new to Arcadia. A detailed schedule will be sent to you as we get closer to the date, but here’s what you can expect:

- Hear from multiple campus partners like Student Success, Financial Aid, Housing, and the Student Experience Leaders.
- Gain knowledge on Arcadia and what it’s like to be a Knight.
- Explore technology used at Arcadia.
- Hear about academics and your majors.
- Learn about how you can get involved on campus.
Fall Welcome Week
Fall Welcome Week is an exciting 4-day program for any new Knight. During your first few days on campus, we will have action-packed days for you to learn, grow, and network with classmates, faculty, and staff. Participate in a full day dedicated to academics, join us for our community service project, and have fun during our late Knight activities.

What do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing a notebook and pen. Also, wear comfortable shoes as you will be moving around campus.

What can I expect at a Summer Welcome Day?
During Summer Welcome, you'll have the chance to connect with fellow new students and current Arcadia student leaders.
You'll also hear from campus partners who are here to answer your questions and help guide your transition to college life. Expect a fun, engaging day filled with helpful information and opportunities to start building your Arcadia community.
Be sure to submit your KnightCard photo before attending, so you can receive your student ID during your in-person Summer Welcome Day.
Is there an Orientation for parents and families?
Yes, during our Summer Welcome Days, students and their parents or families attend separate sessions for a small portion of the day.
This allows us to provide families with information tailored specifically to their needs and questions.
What is a Student Expierence Leader?
Student Expierence Leaders or SELs are current students who want to help ease your transition from high school to college. They will be a great resource for you since they have been in your shoes not too long ago. SELs will serve as your connection to the University.

Is Fall Welcome Week mandatory?
Yes, Fall Welcome Week is mandatory.
It’s designed to help all new students have a smooth transition to Arcadia by building connections and providing important information before classes begin.
What can I expect during Fall Welcome Week?
During your 4-day Fall Welcome Week, you'll dive into life at Arcadia through a variety of experiences.
You'll connect with your classmates, learn more about your major, and meet your First-Year Seminar Peer Mentors. The week includes attending Convocation, engaging sessions with campus partners like Student Health Services, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Knight Code of Honor. You’ll also take part in a community service project and enjoy exciting Late Knight programs like Drag Bingo, the Castle Dance Party, and off-campus excursions.

Where do I go to check in for Fall Welcome Week?
To receive your room key and orientation materials, you can check in at Kuch Gymnasium on Wednesday, 8/20, starting at 9:00 am!
Commuter Students, you can check in for Orientation on Thursday, 8/21, at The Castle starting at 8:30 am!
General FAQs
When will I move in?
August 20th between 9am-12pm. You can pick up your key in the Kuch Gymnasium.
When is the first day of class?
August 25th!
When do I get my KnightCard and what is my KnightCard?
Your KnightCard is your personal student ID card. It will be used to access your meal plan, residents hall, and other important areas on campus. You will receive your KnightCard when you arrive at check in if you did not recieve it during your Summer Welcome Day. Make sure you download the GET app to upload your photo.
How will my previous college credits transfer?
Previous university credits will be reviewed by the Registrar’s office in conjunction with relevant departments/programs upon receipt of official transcripts for final equivalency. These credits will be available for review in your academic plan on self-service. Transfers will also receive a finalized credit sheet prior to meeting with a faculty advisor to inform their scheduling choices.
