> Knight Connection > 40 Under 40: Janet Ober Berman ’03M
Master of Science in Genetic Counseling
Nationally-recognized prenatal genetics expert and co-founder of the Philadelphia Prenatal Diagnosis Conference
Arcadia provided such a wide range of opportunities to explore all genetic counseling specialties. I knew from my first clinical rotation that I wanted to be a prenatal counselor. I was able to select clinical sites that met my interests in order to land a great prenatal position right after graduation.
When I first started at my current position over fourteen years ago, patients were not routinely receiving genetic testing that is recommended in pregnancy. I am most proud of implementing and continually updating procedures and protocols to ensure that every patient has equal access to prenatal genetic testing and counseling services.
Arcadia provided such a wide range of opportunities to explore all genetic counseling specialties.
