Jonathan Park is a seasoned product designer with over thirteen years of experience spanning large pharmaceutical brands to nimble tech startups. With a user-centered approach and a commitment to aligning design with data and business goals, Jonathan creates practical, impactful tools that serve real-world needs. Equally passionate about visual excellence and usability, Jonathan brings a unique blend of artistic sensibility and strategic thinking to his work. His foundation in fine arts and deep understanding of design principles fuel his ability to craft visually striking, purposeful solutions across a range of platforms in the healthcare, recruiting, and HR industries
In addition to his full-time design career, Jonathan is dedicated to shaping the next generation of creatives. He teaches as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater and contributes to the Greater Philadelphia design community through his work on the AIGA Philadelphia Education Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arcadia University, along with certifications in UX/UI, accessibility, branding, and in-house design management. FA251: Graphic Design II (Interactive Design)
This course introduces the essential skills required to design compelling screen-based experiences for websites or apps. Those enrolled will learn current best practices and conventions in both user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to assure fluency with the user research, wireframing, prototyping, and validation techniques. UI and UX design are a high-demand field, but the skills and knowledge you will learn in this course are applicable to a wide variety of careers, from marketing to web design to programing. Software and tools include Figma, FigJam, and Sketch while continuing use of the programs within the Adobe CC. Six studio hours weekly and independent work. Prerequisite: FA 206, FA 250 and FA 270 or permission of instructor.
FA350: Graphic Design III (Brand & Identity Systems)
An introduction to and exploration of logo systems in Graphic Design. How are questions of identity explored visually and conceptually? What characteristics should be converyed versus aspired to? A semester long exploration of the logo in its various forms. Prerequisites: FA250 and FA251; or permission of the adviser
