SPB Variety Presents: Daniel Martin, 8:00 to 9:00 pm

University Commons, Great Room

Daniel Martin has quickly become one of the top entertainers in the country. His high-energy blend of insane magic and sarcastic improv consistently leads to standing ovations and record-breaking crowds at theaters, campuses, and celebrity events nationwide.

Daniel was recently awarded “Best Variety Artist" & "Best Male Performer" after winning last year's "Entertainer of the Year" award.  In addition, he has been recognized as one of the top rated touring acts in the nation! His magic and standup have been featured on CBS, NBC, WGN, The CW, The BBC and by millions online.

He is hailed by his peers as one of the most creative acts touring today with some of the biggest names in entertainment frequently choosing Daniel to consult on their own live shows and TV projects.

At the early age of six, Daniel’s grandparents tried to avert his newfound interest of pick pocketing.  They put his quick hands and devious nature to better uses by purchasing him a magic kit.  It was love at first trick.  He began doing shows for anyone that would watch.  At only 12 years old, Daniel began performing shows professionally and continued doing so at some of the swankiest hotels, clubs, and restaurants in Chicago.  It is here where he developed his style and performing chops with his innovative mix of deception and comedy.  After years of working on his live stage show, he began touring the globe with his critically acclaimed “i-Magish” & “MAGIC MADE ME DO IT” tours.  He still owns his Fisher Price Magic Kit and will now only pickpocket on occasion.
