The Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certification in Secondary Education (Grades 7-12) is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree and who seek to qualify for Pennsylvania Teacher Certification at the secondary level in Mathematics.

Focus on teaching mathematics through a problem-solving approach and with connections among topics based on recommendations of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Learn a variety of instructional strategies with appropriate manipulative and technology integration as well as alternative forms of assessment in mathematics.
Pennsylvania has signed the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement that provides for acceptance of state-approved educator preparation programs between certain states to facilitate educator mobility.
Arcadia University School of Education is an approved provider of educational programs leading to Pennsylvania Department of Education Professional Certification and offers certification at the undergraduate and post baccalaureate (graduate) levels. Arcadia University has not determined if our curriculum meets the requirements for teacher certification in other states or US territories.
