Dr. Ronald W. Whitaker, Associate Professor, Director of the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Program, and Co-Director of the SAJE (Student Action and Justice Education) Program
Full Bio
Dr. Whitaker is a nationally and internationally recognized scholar who frequently presents at academic and professional conferences on topics including inclusivity, organizational psychology, community partnerships, and the empowerment of minoritized males. Over the past decade, he has authored or co-authored more than 40 scholarly publications addressing these critical areas.
In alignment with his research agenda, he also serves as an inaugural Faculty Fellow for Vanderbilt University’s Initiative for Race, Research, and Justice.
Dr. Whitaker’s academic achievements include five earned degrees. He holds a Doctorate in Education from Duquesne University, two master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Eastern University, and a bachelor’s degree in Leadership from Geneva College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also earned a Certificate in Culturally Sustaining Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an Executive Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
