The Graduate Endorsement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is a fully online 12-credit program which provides qualified teachers with specialized knowledge of the application of STEM. You will engage in:

Four online graduate courses in STEM education (three credit hours each): Introduction to STEM Education, STEM Literacy and Technology (offered in the Fall), Understanding the Designed World, and STEM Curriculum and Assessment in Action (offered in the Spring).
A culminating project developing an integrated unit of study that focuses on students’ STEM learning, conducting curriculum mapping and articulation, writing a proposal for a small grant, and participating and organizing STEM community-based gatherings.

Transfer credit is not permitted in this program.

Teacher Certification Agreements

Pennsylvania has signed the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement that provides for acceptance of state-approved educator preparation programs between certain states to facilitate educator mobility.

Teacher Certification Reciprocity

Arcadia University School of Education is an approved provider of educational programs leading to Pennsylvania Department of Education Professional Certification and offers certification at the undergraduate and post baccalaureate (graduate) levels. Arcadia University has not determined if our curriculum meets the requirements for teacher certification in other states or US territories.
