The minor in Theater Arts is designed for students who want to supplement their chosen major with courses in the Theater Arts. It allows students from other disciplines to pursue their passions, deepen their creative skills, and be introduced to new techniques involved with bringing stories to life.
20 credits chosen in consultation with a Theater Minor Advisor or degree coordinator.
Required Course
Learn the foundations of method acting through the work of Stanislavsky and other key teachers like Meisner, Adler, and Hagen. This course focuses on practical techniques to help actors work independently and adapt to any performance style or setting.
Elective Course
Explore creativity, expression, and performance through improvisation and role play. Using theater games and dramatic activities, you’ll build confidence, self-awareness, and essential acting skills in a fun, collaborative setting.
