Alumni from the Department of Historical and Political Studies (HAPS) will speak on their career experiences in fields ranging from the financial sector to the district attorney’s office to nonprofits and social welfare organizations. The panel discussion will take place from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. in Brubaker Hall Room 201 on Monday, Nov. 16.
The alumni panel is an annual HAPS tradition. At the most recent panel in the spring, alumni shared examples of how they determined their career paths and shared strategies they felt helped them secure a career, such as networking, speaking with employers even when they weren’t hiring, and emphasizing strengths and employability.
