The Math and Actuarial Science Club (MASC) and the International Peer Associates League (IPALs) hosted a Karaoke Glow Party on Dec. 4 to help integrate international students into the Arcadia community and promote inclusivity of different cultures.
Over 80 students attended the event, which had free bubble tea and other snacks, to sing their favorite tune in their preferred language.
“What we kept hearing from the international students throughout the semester was that they wanted to do karaoke, so we thought of a way to provide that for free on campus,” said Heidi Specht ’20, a member of IPALs who helped organize the event. “Students could sing any song in any language, which made the event more inclusive, something IPALs strives to do in all our events.”
MASC and IPALs plan to host another Glow Karaoke event in the spring semester as a Late Knight event.
