Arcadia University has once again ranked first in the nation for undergraduate study abroad participation by percentage among all institutions of its type in the Institute of International Education’s 2025 Open Doors Report. Arcadia previously took the number one spot in 2024, and for 11 of the 13 years prior to the pandemic.

The 2025 report is based on data from the 2023-24 academic year. Four hundred and thirty-six Arcadia undergraduate students had at least one study abroad experience between fall 2023 and summer 2024.

In addition, Arcadia ranked seventh in the nation (first in Pennsylvania) for total study abroad participation by institution type, with 547 students studying abroad.

Open Doors is a comprehensive information resource on international students and scholars studying or teaching at higher education institutions in the United States, and on U.S. students studying abroad for academic credit.

At Arcadia, students can study abroad through Preview the World, First-Year Study Abroad Experience (FYSAE), Second-Year Study Abroad Experience (SYSAE), and Global Field Study (GFS), as well as semester-long, summer-long, and year-long programs, and graduate international academic experiences.
