A location fit for royalty, Arcadia University’s Grey Towers Castle was voted Best Wedding Venue in Montgomery County in a public vote by MontcoHappenings, as released on March 27. This is the first time the National Historic Landmark, located in Glenside, Pa., was included in the voting process.

Weddings are held throughout the main level of the Castle, where guests are swept away in the grand and ornate designs of the Great Hall and Dining, Rose, and Laura Minerva Korman Mirror rooms that boast elegance and character. These luxurious locations are perfect for cocktail hours and receptions.

“It’s such an honor to receive this recognition,” said Senior Director of University Relations Lisa Stephens, who oversees the Office of Conference and Event Services. “The Castle is a beautiful and unique space that the Arcadia community loves, and it’s wonderful to know the Montgomery County community loves it too.”

Grey Towers Castle was completed in 1898 as the estate home of the Harrison family. Built by architect Horace Trumbauer, who would later go on to design the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the design of the Castle is inspired by Alnwick Castle, the medieval seat of the Dukes of Northumberland in England.
